Davao International Container Terminal

Long Length Pipe Delivery for Wharf Construction Pipe Piling.

Mlion Corporation Pte Ltd worked closely with Davao International Container Terminal to develop their waterfront and extension of an extra berth. We delivered sheet piles (see post here Davao International Port Upgrading Project) for the reclamation and container stacking yard which was completed delivery in December 2019. After which Mlion fabricated long length steel pipe piles which will support the berth and its ship to shore cranes on the deck.

Pipes for the project were in the following sizes:

900mm x 14mm in lengths up to 48m
800mm x 14mm in lengths up to 42m
600mm x 14mm in lengths up to 40m

Working with the owner and consultant we recommended the steel grade to be S355JR instead of A252 Grade 2 to provide higher strength and greater corrosion allowance. Also a cross type pile shoes was used to provide greater piling toe strength.

The pipes were delivered to the customer as per their piling schedule and tailored to the required delivery arrangement. Mlion worked closely with all parties to provide the smooth unloading and specific unloading sequence.
