Mlion Corporation is the exclusive distributor for Magang’s S460 and S550 Grade beams, introducing high-strength structural solutions to the regional infrastructure market. Magang successfully produced the world’s thickest and heaviest jumbo-size H-beams, which extend the existing 356 x 406 range from 1299 kg/m up to 1509 kg/m. These sections achieve a flange thickness of 165mm and are rolled in S460 steel grade. With the addition of sizes including 1384 kg/m, 1488 kg/m and 1509 kg/m, the expanded lineup provides the specific heavy-duty capacities required for complex structural engineering and large-scale foundations.

The adoption of these high-strength grades offers significant economic and technical advantages for project developers. By utilising S460 and S550 materials, engineers can achieve the same structural load-bearing capacity with approximately 30% less steel volume compared to standard grades. This reduction in material weight directly lowers total project costs, as fewer raw materials are required for the same structural performance. Furthermore, the increased strength and resultant increased tolerances contribute to enhanced corrosion resistance over their operational life. This corrosion resistance can also potentially remove the need for anti-corrosion coating, depending on the project. This durability is critical for long-term infrastructure, where maintaining structural integrity in varying environmental conditions is a primary concern.
