On 4th July, Mlion Corporation supported the local community by serving as a sponsor of the 6th annual Kindness Warrior event. This marked the company’s 5th consecutive year supporting the initiative, which is organised by Top International Holding in partnership with the North East CDC. Held under the name “Kick Off!”, the event brought together corporate partners, volunteers and beneficiary families for an afternoon of meaningful community engagement.

This year’s event supported the School Transport Assistance and Relief Scheme (STARS), an initiative by the North East CDC that provides transport assistance to students from lower-income families. The scheme helps ease the financial burden of daily travel expenses, enabling students to commute to school safely and consistently while supporting continued access to education. Over the years, STARS has expanded to benefit students across primary, secondary and tertiary education, reflecting the importance of reliable transport in reducing barriers to learning.

Beyond fundraising, the event focused on fostering stronger connections between volunteers and beneficiary families. Participants took part in a range of recreational activities, including laser tag and bubble soccer, creating an informal setting that encouraged interaction, teamwork and shared experiences. The afternoon provided an opportunity for corporate partners and families to engage with one another beyond the traditional volunteer setting, reinforcing the value of community participation and collaboration.
