Corporate
Social Responsibility

Mlion Corporation’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategies are driven by recognising the needs of the communities in countries where it operates; focusing on the ethical benefits and possible societal change that can be experienced within these communities.

Mlion’s focus on CSR includes:

Environmental

Reduction in carbon footprint and emissions through sustainable practices in areas of reusing, reducing, and recycling. Purposefully practicing green initiatives like not polluting the environment and making informed decisions towards waste management.

Human Rights

Practicing fair labour rights within the workplace by eradicating ageism, racism, sexism in the hiring process. Following fair trade practices by refusing to support or condone to child labour in operations in developing countries.

Philanthropy

Volunteering and donating to causes and communities that are vulnerable and lacking in support. Supporting community-based projects that improve living conditions and quality of life of the people.

MHZ Sheet Piles are engineered to be stronger while using 20% lesser materials in a project. Carbon emissions are hence reduced from producing lesser materials as compared to alternative products.

Facilitating the reuse of steel materials through a platform prevents them from being prematurely scrapped. In a circular economy, the reusing of steel eliminates need of producing new steel that leads to more carbon emissions being produced.

Mlion and its staff are conscientious in their efforts towards the climate and have taken all possible
measures at reducing our impact on the environment.

Our staff are strongly encouraged to:

Recycle

Recycling in the office is critical to reduce waste and improve sustainability. Recycling regularly can make a positive contribution towards reducing carbon footprint. We have recycling bins in the workplace to ensure recyclable materials are appropriately disposed and staff is strongly encouraged to reuse items whenever possible.

Eliminating Paper Use

Staff is strongly encouraged to go digital and to consider the effects on the environment before they choose to print. Going paperless and relying on digital copies not only help save resources but also greatly reduces carbon footprint in the long haul, for instance, eliminating the reliance of sending official documents via courier by e-signing and emailing.

Zero Waste

Rather than throwing away office supplies that are used by their predecessors, the staff is strongly encouraged to reuse or repurpose the items to minimise unnecessary wastage.

With the collective efforts and commitment towards minimising carbon footprint and emissions by our Management and staff, we are confident that every action, big or small, will help in reducing the environmental impact and account for making a positive difference in the world.
