MMU® Steel Sheet Piles delivered to Tacloban Storm Surge Project.
Mer Lion Metals Pte Ltd supplied MMU® Sheet Piles for Tacloban Leyte Philippines. The sheet piles were delivered to site to several contractors for the entire length of the project which was supervised by Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Philippines.
Sheet Piles varied in lengths and form a long barrier wall together with an high embankment from the Tacloban Airport stretching to General McArthur memorial and beyond.
Storm Surge barriers were designed and put in place after Super Typhoon Haiyan in 2013 ripped through Leyte causing many homes to be washed away and displaced.
