We’re seeking an effective Accountant to ensure proper bookkeeping and accounting of the Indonesia company (PT PMA). You will:
- Ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping (monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, annually), including the proper archiving of all supporting documents in compliance with statutory document retention laws.
- Collect, verify, and forward weekly financial documents for monthly closing purposes
- Review and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of monthly financial closing reports against internal deadlines (for reporting back to Headquarters).
- Act as the primary point of contact with external parties regarding day-to-day tax, accounting, and statutory filing matters
- To ensure full compliance with national regulations, including BPJS (social security) contributions, VAT (e-Faktur), Withholding Tax (e-Bupot), Corporate Income Tax returns, annual corporate renewals, and quarterly LKPM (BKPM) investment reporting
- Review staff reimbursement claims following initial approvals from the Sales Manager and HR Department
- Prepare payment batches for outstanding vendor invoices and staff reimbursements for final Headquarters review and approval
- Conduct physical stock counts and reconcile any discrepancies with accounting records
- Attend weekly sales meetings to track accounts receivable (AR) and assist the sales team in following up on overdue customer payments
- Coordinate annual audit processes with external parties and external auditors, addressing queries and gathering requested documentation
- Monitor tax schedules and work with external tax advisors to ensure all tax returns and payments are finalized strictly before regulatory deadlines
- Perform other finance and administrative tasks as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Accounting/Finance with a mandatory Brevet A & B tax certification.
- PT PMA & Closing Experience: 3–5+ years of accounting and tax experience in an Indonesian PT PMA or multinational, including full-cycle monthly closing, external audit coordination, and direct reporting to an overseas HQ.
- Indonesian Tax & Statutory Compliance: Hands-on proficiency in local regulatory tools and filings, specifically e-Faktur (VAT), e-Bupot (Withholding Tax), DJP Online (CIT), BPJS (Kesehatan/Ketenagakerjaan), and quarterly LKPM (BKPM/OSS) reporting.
- Operational Finance & Inventory: Practical background in preparing vendor/expense payment batches, conducting physical stock counts and reconciliations, and tracking overdue Accounts Receivable alongside sales teams.
- Languages & Technical Skills: Fluent written/spoken English (for HQ reporting) and Bahasa Indonesia (for local authorities), alongside strong proficiency in accounting software (ERP) and MS Excel.
