Mlion Corporation provided 188 pieces of Type IV Sheet Piles for the Tengah MRT project to create a Cofferdam Wall. The construction of a lower level was required; thus, a Cofferdam was erected around the worksite to prevent the soil from caving in.
Our customers John Holland and McConnel Dowell requested used sheet piles since they were perfectly functional and went at a lower price. The sheet piles were required urgently, and despite being readily available, they had to be cut down into varying lengths based on project specifications. Our team rushed to get the sheet piles cut down in time and was able to deliver the sheet piles in a timely manner.
When steel isn’t reused, they are often prematurely scrapped, contributing to carbon emissions. Each metric ton of steel reused prevents 1.8 tons of carbon emissions. This project alone utilised 165 metric tons of steel, which translates to 297 tons of carbon emissions. With our latest innovation, GoListid, Mlion can help to promote a circular economy and contribute to a more sustainable world.
