Mlion International Indonesia Brings Foundation Solutions and Innovations for Sustainable Development

PT Mlion International Indonesia continues to bring innovation to the national construction market through its latest product, the MHZ 820 Z-type sheet pile.

Konstruksi Media — PT Mlion International Indonesia has established itself as a comprehensive solution provider for steel supply in coastal works and foundation projects in Indonesia. More than just selling steel materials, Mlion also offers an integrated approach that supports construction project needs with high quality standards and reliable services.

One of the main solutions offered is sheet piles, with product variations ranging from type 3, type 4, to Z-type sheet piles that can be tailored to field requirements. In addition to sales, Mlion also provides sheet pile rental services, making it a strategic partner for a wide range of infrastructure projects in Indonesia, especially those focused on construction resilience in coastal areas and soil foundations.

Ong Song Yi, Country Manager of Mlion Corporation Pte, Ltd, stated that the company continues to bring innovation to the national construction market through its latest product, the MHZ 820 Z-type sheet pile, which is now the widest sheet pile available in ready stock in Indonesia.

He added that the launch of the MHZ 820 marks an important step for Mlion in providing modern construction solutions that are not only efficient but also add value to large-scale projects across various sectors.

“Compared to U-type sheet piles that have commonly been used in Indonesia, such as type 2 and type 3, the MHZ 820 is both stronger and lighter. This advantage makes it a more effective choice to face the challenges of infrastructure development, especially for projects that demand soil stability and efficient construction timelines,” Ong Song Yi told Konstruksi Media, Thursday (25/09/2025).

This development aligns with government efforts to accelerate the construction of various strategic infrastructure projects to address urban growth challenges and meet public needs. Several large-scale projects are currently being planned, such as the Giant Sea Wall, designed to protect the northern coast of Jakarta from tidal flooding and land subsidence, and the Jakarta Sewerage Development Project (SWDP), aimed at improving the city’s integrated wastewater management system.

Both projects are part of the government’s long-term efforts to strengthen urban resilience, improve environmental quality, and support sustainable development. With these initiatives, Jakarta is expected to face the challenges of urbanization while safeguarding vital infrastructure for its residents.

Pioneering Sheet Pile with Interlock Technology

Meanwhile, Muhammad Iqbal Hamidi, Technical Sales at PT Mlion International Indonesia, added that the company’s innovation goes beyond steel sheet piles. Mlion has also become a pioneer in Indonesia in marketing the O-Pile interlock technology for pipe connections.

According to him, this technology provides significant advantages compared to conventional interlocks such as CT, LT, and CC commonly used in the country. With O-Pile, construction becomes more compact, stronger, and better able to reduce potential problems that often arise in conventional connections.

“Beyond that, O-Pile can be combined with Wadit sealant, which makes the construction watertight, providing a comprehensive solution for projects that require high resistance to leakage. This innovation further cements Mlion’s position as a pioneer of geotechnical technology in Indonesia, consistently delivering globally competitive products to support national development,” he explained.

Iqbal further stated that their products have already been applied in numerous projects across Indonesia. “Our products have been used in around 70 projects (both National Strategic Projects and private ones) in Indonesia, ranging from Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi, Papua, to Kalimantan,” he said.
