It has been an incredible few days at the 2025 PICE Midyear National Convention and Technical Conference, held from 25 to 27 June at the Iloilo Convention Centre. Organised by the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE), the event brought together thousands of professionals, academics, and students under the theme “Empowering Membership, Promoting Specialisation: Building a Stronger PICE for the Preferred Future”. The Engineering Expo on the first day offered an excellent opportunity for exhibitors like us to showcase innovative solutions, connect with industry leaders, and engage with the next generation of civil engineers.
As specialists in underground and waterfront engineering, Mlion’s participation focused on demonstrating how targeted solutions and technical innovation can resolve complex challenges raised by our customers. From waterfront to underground foundation solutions, we presented real-world examples from across Southeast Asia to highlight how infrastructure challenges can be addressed with adaptable and resilient solutions. At the same time, we emphasised our broader commitment to modern engineering design, customer value, and sustainability.
It was particularly energising to engage in discussions not only with technical peers and partners but also with aspiring engineers and students, whose curiosity and enthusiasm reflect a strong future for the profession and broader industry.
Throughout the convention, we had the pleasure of forming new connections, reconnecting with long-standing partners, and exchanging ideas. Events such as the PICE Midyear Convention are more than exhibitions; they are essential platforms for shaping the future of infrastructure and upholding professional standards.
We would like to thank everyone who visited our booth and took the time to speak with us. Whether you are an experienced industry veteran or a student at the beginning of your journey, it was a privilege to share our insights and learn from yours. We also extend our appreciation to PICE for hosting a meaningful and well-executed event. We look forward to continuing our contributions to the Philippine engineering sector and to participating in more collaborative efforts in the future.
