Mlion Corporation has committed to support a Community Feeding Programme in Calamba, Philippines. This collaboration with Gawad Kalinga (GK) is part of Mlion’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative in the Philippines. At Mlion, we strongly emphasise the ethical side of conducting business. Through initiatives such as the GK Community Feeding Programme, we aim to do our part to impact surrounding communities positively.
The GK Community Feeding Programme will involve providing meals for 50 children for 120 days. These meals will be provided in the local school and served for lunch. A “Care Kitchen” will be renovated and repaired to help support this initiative.
By providing nutritious meals in the local school, we hope to improve students’ nutrition and incentivise the children to attend school.
To monitor the progress and how the Care Kitchen is beneficial to the community, the attendance and BMI of the children will be monitored throughout the Community Feeding Programme. Through the progress reports, Mlion will endeavour to adjust and find better ways to help the community in Calamba.
