Monday, 12 June 2023, Mlion Corporation’s Chairman & CEO, Mr Eric Leong, was invited to be part of the judging panel alongside representatives from Singapore Manufacturing Federation and HP Inc., for the Mid Term Presentation at Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) by the students from the School of Engineering participating in the HackAMthon 2023.
5 groups of students presented the development of their proposed solutions by sharing their thought processes and investigative approaches toward materials, design, construction, and costs – based on the problem statement of real-life industry challenges communicated to them 2 months prior. All 5 groups showcased theoretical but promising solutions and it was interesting to witness the formulation of various potential problem-solving scenarios that transpired from industrial-based challenges through the refreshing perspectives of emerging talents.
Mlion’s Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer, Mr Sean Cheong attended the Award Ceremony on 16 June 2023, Friday, at HP Inc’s Corporate Office for the award presentation. The representatives from the participating organisations involved took turns expressing their thoughts on the outcomes in respect of their problem statements followed by award presentation to the winning team. Mlion was equally impressed with the quality of solutions delivered and how the students were committed to solving the crux of the issue. Mlion would like to thank Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore Manufacturing Federation, and HP Inc. for the opportunity to collaborate and would look forward to future HackAMthons to come.
